If you tried to participate in the two chats held last season with Gerry and Chiara, evictees from the BB3 house you might have been a little frustrated. The separate chats were hosted by two different websites. It turned out to be an evening of Nazi-moderation and nasty nickname kicking in the Chiara chat versus Website in need of the book 'Server Operation for Dummies' The limited ability to ask questions by people in some past chats was surpassed in the Chiara chat. The hosts (and we use that term loosely) had censored and moderated the chat to the point were Chiara supposedly couldn't even see what questions were being asked by the chatters in the channel window. All questions were viewed by the moderators first, and if they deemed them simple and non-offensive to Chiara, they would forward the question to her. Huh? Many chatters thought that this wasn't a chat at all. So they resorted to changing nicknames back and forth to insult Chiara instead. This made things much more entertaining than the canned questions that some chatters thought Chiara had even practiced the answers to beforehand. (If that was indeed Chiara at all.)

More scandal brewing today when BBLive3.com is advertising a big chat with Eric from BB3 on Wednesday nite August 28th after the TV show airs. Several sources are reporting today that calls made to CBS found that evicted houseguests can appear at any chats they want AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT DISCUSS THE SHOW. To do so would be breach of contract and they would forfeit their stipend and lose any monies due to them in the contract. Soooooooo, this either this isn't really Eric from BB3 or he is stupider than anyone ever imagined. Gee BB3Live can't even afford to pay for a reliable host and adequate bandwidth, I doubt they will be paying Eric the money he is gonna lose if he does a chat there. My guess is, It's a big sham!!!
Update-8-15-02---midafternoon-one of the DLSU Yahoo mail group posters Celt,(the "Weird Al" of DLSU) composed a song parody in an attempt to use humour to deal with and heal the incident. (it was intended as humour and written to lighten the mood on DLSU and no threat was intended towards BBA except to point out using gentle ribbing that we only wanted to be asked first) -btw-used by permission of the author)

Update-8-15-02---BigBrotherAddict.com has a whole lotta splaining to do!!! Reports out out today from several sites including Reality411.com and TVCH, as well as the DLSU mail group over at Yahoo, that BBA is stealing posts and putting them on their website with no credit given to the original poster. After a warning from a DLSU moderator the site did take down some of the email addresses of the posters, but has still not asked permission of the authors to use their posts on the BBA site.
Although there is no contact info on the BBA site, after a little sleuthing with the owners over at BB3BBQ.com last night, we found an article about the originator of the BBA site. The Bradford Era recently printed an article about the BBA website and it's owner/designer. If you are affected by, or interested in this injustice drop a line to the Era to let them know exactly what the site's contents are (i.e. other people's stuff!), you can send them an email here. The best quote from the aforementioned article was, "Now that the site is up and running, it doesn't require so much work and is more fun than anything," and, "Blumenthal doesn't get the live feeds." We guess that why she has to steal everyone elses posts and feed updates so there will be some content on the BBA site.

Due to heavy volumes of traffic on our site, and in particular, the Live Feeds Update board, we're learned (how long does it take???)that we need a dedicated server for our message boards. In the short time the Live Feeds Update board was up on Monday, it received 30,000 hits.(yeah right!!!) Our current hosting company will not support this kind of volume. (because we are too cheap to pay for actual bandwidth!!!)We are working very hard to get this problem fixed.(begging) We know how important Live Feed Updates are to our viewers...and we hope to get them up and running very soon.
