Congrats --- BB5 Winner!!!
BB5 Winner is Drew Daniel
Urbana's Drew Daniel will be picking up the check during what promises to be a long few days and nights of reconciliation, explanation and intoxication: Daniel, 22, took home Big Brother 5's big money — $500,000 — squeaking by Michael "Cowboy" Ellis by one vote during a ceremony that was broadcast live on CBS from 8-9 p.m. Ellis gets $50,000 for his 82 days of "work," during which the "houseguests" were filmed and recorded 24/7, evicting each other one by one in live ceremonies broadcast each week.
The process leading to the votes was brutal: Jury members not only questioned the final two, often harshly, but discussed their relative merits during the show. The seven jury members — Will, Adria, Natalie, Karen, Marvin, Diane and Nakomis — were privvy to only select events in the Big Brother house after their eviction, meaning the "Diary Room" confessionals and all secret conversations weren't taken into consideration. The jury's deliberation seemed to boil down to whether Drew, a pretty good game player who lied and made some questionable strategic calls, should prevail over Michael, who appeared to be doing nothing the entire 82 days other than proudly "being himself."
Another feature of the season finale was the return of the first booted houseguests, who were able to watch the show with the rest of America. They spilled a few choice bits of info to the jury members after the votes were cast and will no doubt spill some more, especially if Drew's buying. The season's two highly touted big twists — identical twins Adria and Natalie's five-week switcheroo and the revelation that Nakomis and Michael are half-siblings — were largely a bust.
The votes: Adria, Natalie and Nakomis for Michael; Karen, Marvin, Diane and Will for Drew.

Artist erased from 'Big Brother'
By JOHN POWELL -- Jam! Showbiz
"Big Brother 5" has it's final four as the result of another stunning betrayal.
Drew Daniels, Michael 'Cowboy' Ellis, Jennifer 'Nakomis' Dedmon and Diane Henry have became the elite quartet as Karen O'Neil Ganci, the 30-year-old portrait artist from Florida (not New Jersey as is reported on the series), was voted out of the house on last night's live eviction episode. House sweethearts Drew and Diane were the only houseguests who could vote and both elected to heave Karen.
Seemingly making it her mission to backstab and enrage all of the "Big Brother 5" jury members, Diane once again was responsible and took the blame for formulating this week's eviction plan. A saddened and angry Karen took a swipe at Diane after host Julie Chen announced the voting results.
"Thanks for back-dooring me. That's great. Thank you," said Karen believing that her former alliance mate should've respected her enough to warn her of the impending eviction. Drew and Diane both lied to Karen about who they were targeting.
"Even Marvin didn't get back-doored," Karen said as she gathered up her belongings.
"It wasn't back-doored," replied Diane.
"Ah, yes it was," said Karen sticking her head back in before walking out of the 'Big Brother' house
Speaking with Chen, Karen said she knew something was up with Drew and Diane based on their behavior around her but didn't have it in her to battle back.
"I knew they were not being truthful with me. I just didn't have it in me. I am physically drained and I am emotionally sapped. It is really hard to deal with the kind of people that they are. They are almost ruling that house. They turn their backs and they walk away. They don't want anything to do with anyone around them," said Karen hoping that Jennifer eventually becomes the winner.
With Karen gone, Jennifer is outnumbered with Drew, Diane and Michael plotting to oust her if she doesn't win this week's Veto Competition.
Drew Daniels won this week's Head of Household Competition tying Jennifer and Hardy Hill of 'Big Brother 2' with the most HOH wins in a season. Drew was victorious in a competition that quizzed the players on events in the 'Big Brother' house. Drew's nominations for eviction will air on Saturday night's broadcast. In a surprise announcement, Chen revealed that next Tuesday's show would feature a live Veto Ceremony and eviction.
